Product Description

ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) film is an amorphous thermoplastic material commonly used for applications requiring mechanical toughness, impact resistance, and ease of fabrication and thermoforming. It is a naturally glossy material but is available in matte grades as well. General-purpose ABS has good impact strength and thermoforms well. Weather-resistant grades are also available, providing long-term color and gloss stability during outdoor exposure, outstanding UV protection, and chemical resistance. ABS plastic film is also recyclable, allowing the reduction of the expense of disposal. PolymerFilms offers a complete line of ABS film products from world-leading producers like Primex Plastics Corporation (Prime ABS Film-X) and Westlake Plastics (ABSYLUX®).

ABS film is among the industry’s most versatile materials, most commonly used for mechanical purposes; it is often seen in the TransportationMedical Device / Diagnostic Strips, and Industrial Film industries. Other common uses involve permanent displays, thermoforming, signs, machine guards, automotive parts and trims, exterior and interior applications, pickup truck caps, boat accessories, computer housings, and more. ABS film is the right choice for a material that balances cost and performance within a reasonable temperature range.
